A Great Weekend to Celebrate Mom...

Sarah and I decided that for Mom's birthday this year we were going to go out to Colorado for the weekend for a girls weekend.  We spent lots of fun just enjoying each other and doing everyday things that we rarely get to do together.  The first day, Friday, we took Mom out for lunch and then went to the spa.  Sarah and I got gel manicures (for the 1st time) and Mom got a facial (for the 1st time).

Then we went to Nothing Bundt Cakes to redeem Mom's coupon for a free cake.  We couldn't let a coupon go to waste.

We made homemade bow tie pasta together.

 Played Rook Together

Saturday we went to Amy's Doughnut Shop.  They had all kinds of doughnuts made fresh including Heath Bar, Bacon Maple, and Butterfinger doughtnuts.

Then we spent the day shopping in Castle Rock.

Mom and Dad took us out for dinner at BJ's Restaurant where we tried the special pop made there.

 Watched "Saving Mr. Banks"

Sunday we went to church, out to lunch, and more shopping before flying home at night.  It's been a long time, at least 12 years, since just the 4 of us spent time together.  It was a great weekend.  Mom asked if we could make it a yearly tradition.  It sure would be fun!
