End of the Year Parties

This week was the last week of the school year for Avery and Miren.  They both had great teachers and a great year in school.  And now we have a kindergartener and 3rd grader.  We are very excited for the summer, but also a little sad to see the school year end.

For her last day, Miren had Mud Day at school.  They turn the playground into a big mud pit with water and sand then they also have (dirty) pools, bubbles, and shaving cream to play with.  It sounds terrible to me, but the kids love it!

 Miren and her friend, Kendall

Mud Pool- looks like a community mud bath.  Miren went in but she didn't seem to have any desire to get her body all wet in the mud.

She did however get wet in the pool and then sit in the sand.  That couldn't have been comfortable.

 Pizza for lunch

Miren and her sweet teacher, Mrs. Cornelius.

While Miren was celebrating the last day with Mud Day, on the other side of campus, Avery was celebrating with Water Day.

There was yummy food, lots of water, bounce houses, and games.  They had lots of fun!  They were pretty tired after all that and laid around at home and watched a movie.
