On July 4, we left on our Planes, Trains, and Automobiles trip (as a friend accurately called it). We drove to Colorado Springs the first night and saw my parents. Then we drove on to Rapid City, SD to see Andy's parents for a week. We had a fantastic week there and the weather was perfect.
We all loved spending lots of time outside in the cooler than Arizona weather. The girls especially enjoyed water fights with Grandma Dee and Grandpa.
Grandma Dee had promised Miren a birthday tea party, so they had one of those right away.

Grandma Dee had lots of flowers in her yard and let the girls pick them. Kyra was especially proud of her little vase with flowers.
