The first full week of October was Fall Break for Avery and Miren. We enjoyed it so much! Andy and his Dad were on a backpacking trip together most of the week, but Andy's Dad spent a day with us before they left for their trip.
They love it when Grandpa reads to them. Grandpa was very tolerant of the fact that Kyra kept calling him "Grammy" or "Grandma." She could seem to say "Grandpa."
Monday we took Grandpa to the Phoenix Zoo.
Tuesday we had our friends, The Van Berkums, over to play and make sugar cookies. Miren and her friend, Alaina, haven't had as much time together now that Miren is in school fulltime, so they really enjoyed more time together.
Also on Tuesday, we did a spa day soaking our feet and doing our nails.

Another morning the girls watched a movie in my bed.
Since Andy was gone for the week, I let the girls each take a turn sleeping in my bed with me.
Wednesday was my birthday, and Avery brought us all breakfast in bed on my day. Avery got to spend that day with her friend from school, Lindsey. We also went to the Cheesecake Factory that night for dessert with our friends, Kate and Kaley.
Thursday night we went to the Glendale Drive-In movie theater to see The Boxtrolls.
