I can't help myself...my girls' birthdays make me nostalgic. I love being their mom, and reminiscing about their lives. Here are a couple of pictures of Avery from the hospital. It's hard to believe she's been ours for 9 years!
Avery with her new glasses. This is her second pair of glasses, but the first pair to last more than a few minutes without breaking. This is on her 1st birthday.
Avery spread her birthday out over 3 days this year. On her actual birthday, she had Gems at church, so we just had her open a few presents but didn't do anything else.
The next night we went out to dinner at her favorite place, Golden Corral. We seem to go their once a year, just for her birthday. Their huge buffet allows her to choose all of her favorite foods for dinner. She had macaroni and cheese, baked beans, corn, a roll, and fruit. Then what she especially loves about that place is that they have an abundance of desserts and you can have as many as you want. Her and Miren definitely ate their monies worth.
Then on Sunday we had a birthday party for her with some of her friends. They jumped at an indoor trampoline place then came to our house for a pinata and cake.

She had a great time!
